Jan Key Davis passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. She was surrounded by her family. Jan is survived by her husband, Ben Davis, Jr., her children Cynthia Gibson, Amy Zaret, James Key, Jr., her sister Doris Honea, as well as her grandchildren Max, Peter, and Daniel Gibson, Caleb and Luke Curtis, and great grandchildren Tripp, Vera, Ava, and Callum.
Jan was a trailblazer in many ways. She was one of very few women pharmacists in the 1960s, and she spent fifty years working in the career that she loved. She loved her work, and she was good at it. She worked long twelve-hour shifts in dresses and high heels, picked up all the overtime she could, and genuinely loved being in the hospital. That was who she was. She was dedicated, capable, and completely at home in that world.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
