Jean Batton Hoffman was born on January 27, 1933, in Minden, Louisiana. She was predeceased in death by husband Henry R. Hoffman Jr, and her only child, her son, A. Carl Duncan, Jr. She was a loving wife of many years to Henry R. Hoffman, Jr.
She was survived by stepdaughters, Patty McNichols of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Jill E. Tiernan of Dallas, TX; and step-granddaughters, Virginia Tiernan and Madeline McNichols.
Jean graduated from Minden High School and attended Business College in Shreveport LA. She had a lengthy career at Capital Bank & trust in Baton Rouge, LA. While there she furthered her career by attending the Institute of Banking and graduated from the School of Bank Marketing at the University of Colorado. Jean was Vice president of Valley View Bank Dallas and the first female Vice President at Associates Financial Services of North America.
She and Henry loved to travel and visited 50 states and six of seven continents. Her interests included reading, tennis, golf, fly fishing and Bridge where she achieved life Master. She was a member of St. Michael & All Angels Church, Dallas Museum Art and Bent Tree Country Club.
The Burial will be next to her husband and son at Sparkman-Hillcrest. The burial will be private.
