Private services were held on January 4, 2011. Jeanette was a strong, remarkable woman. Even through the toughest moments, she kept a positive attitude, never complained, and fought courageously. She was especially grateful for those who cared for her during her lengthy illness. Jeanette was an avid reader and self-educated. Her passion for reading began at an early age through the Dallas Public Library. She always had a book she was “just finishing” and read the Dallas Morning News from cover-to-cover daily. She enjoyed traveling, particularly to Destin, Florida, working daily crossword puzzles, roses, good jokes and watching old classic movies. With her quick wit, no one told stories like Jeanette as she reminisced about how she met Jack and about their world travels. Jeanette was a beloved Wife to Jack for 56 years.
She was also a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend. Jeanette will be dearly missed. In her honor, memorials may be made to the Dallas Public Library."
