Elder Jeremy Jamal Ballard Sr. was born to Willie Ballard, Sr. and Mary Ballard on January 1, 1983, in Dallas, Texas.
From an early age, he was baptized at Kingdom Harvest COGIC where his spiritual journey began. He remained a dedicated member from birth until the age of 32 before joining Faith Tabernacle Christian Center. In 2024, he returned home to Kingdom Harvest COGIC, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to his faith. He was appointed as an Elder and was a true scholar of the Holy Word, dedicating his life to leading others to Christ.
His fatherhood journey began in 1998 with the birth of his first beautiful child, Kristina. He later met Maggie in high school, and their love story flourished, leading to their marriage in 2002. Together, they were inseparable. They nurtured a loving family, raising five amazing children—Marcel, Amayah, Jeremy Jr., Jeremiah, and Jordan, all whom he was extremely proud of.
He attended Mesquite Academy and graduated in 2000. He later took courses at Cedar Valley College to develop his knowledge of Real estate. His ambition and determination led him to become a successful business owner and mentor, helping others achieve their dreams. He owned a thriving appliance store and other businesses, which is a testament to his hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.
Above all, Jeremy was a family man. He was an amazing father, and he instilled strong values in his children. He taught them to do right, stay in school, become their own boss, and most importantly put God first. He was a constant source of strength and unconditional love. He led by example, always emphasizing faith and perseverance.
Jeremy fulfilled his mission: to bring others to Christ, uplift his family, and leave a lasting impact on all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
He was a soul winner for Christ. He lived out Luke 14:23—“Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled”
Wherever he went—stores, restaurants, etc. —he shared the gospel, and many people accepted Christ on the spot. On Sundays, he would bring many visitors to church! A true soldier in the Army of The Lord; he led many to Christ.
Beyond his love for faith and business, he had a sharp eye for style—always well-dressed—and a deep love for Western TV shows.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Marcel Ballard. He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom to his wife, Margaret Ballard; three sons, Jeremy Ballard Jr., Jeremiah Ballard, and Jordan Ballard; two daughters Amayah Ballard and Kristina Ballard; three grandchildren, Armani, Dior, and Balenci Page; his parents, Willie Ballard Sr. and Mary Ballard; his siblings Willie Ballard II (Galeea), and Portia Ballard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
