

Jerome (Jerry) Fleischer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Sissie Fleischer, daughter Carol (Barry) Sobol, daughter Shelly Weinstein, 4 granddaughters Amy (Julian) Buetens, Julie (Josh) Martin, Staci Weinstein, and Courtney Weinstein. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, Izaak Buetens, Mars Buetens, Deva Martin, and Reuben Martin. Jerry also leaves behind his brother Alan (Eileen) Fleischer, and his sister Sylvia Reichlin, brother-in-law Dr. Murray (Liz) Fox, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was born in the Bronx, New York to Rose and Samuel Fleischer. He married Sissie in 1951 and moved to Dallas in 1957 from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jerry was President and founder of Trinity Valley Foods. He was in the wholesale meat and trucking industries for many years and retired in 2012. He was an avid art collector who enjoyed fishing, reading, history, the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his family. He was also a Chapter Dad of Henry Monsky AZA in the 1970s.
The family wishes to acknowledge the love and special care given to Jerry by his caregivers Nancy Muthiaru, Rachel Muturi, Sylvia Openda, and Catherine Nyambura as well as the staff of Legacy Midtown Park Skilled Nursing.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 12:30p.m. at Temple Emanu-El in Lefkowitz Chapel, 8500 Hillcrest Rd. Dallas, TX.
