Jesse J. Curiel, age 97, passed away on September 7, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on September 21, 1919 in Dallas, Texas to Jose Curiel and Juanita Garcia Curiel. Jesse was raised in the downtown area known as Little Mexico and attended Crozier Tech High School. He served in the United States Military for two years during World War II as PFC. He married twice and had four children. He was an inspector and machinist at OTIS Engineering where he worked for more than twenty-five years.
In his spare time, Jesse enjoyed helping others, reading and researching. In his younger years he enjoyed working on his house and his cars. He enjoyed Big band and music and practicing playing the saxophone. He loved watching football games with a Dr. Pepper. He also enjoyed going to Las Vegas.
His family and friends will always remember him as a man with a sense of humor, a hard worker, a good father, a strong man and a good soldier. He was attentive and caring to his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, his daughter Lydia, six siblings and parents. He is survived by his children: Jesse Curiel, Elvia Curiel and Russell Fuentes; four grandchildren, one great grandchild, extended family and friends.
