Jesse Espinoza Guerrero

Jesse Espinoza Guerrero, 78, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born June 24, 1945 in Glidden, Texas to Carlos S. Guerrero and Catalina Espinoza. Jesse was raised in Little Mexico Village in the heart of Dallas and graduated from North Dallas High School in 1964.

Jesse served his country proudly in the United States Army as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War for two years as part of the Army Corp of Engineers. He married Nina Fay Rivera in 1970 and the couple had two children. He worked as a forklift driver at UTI for more then ten years. He most notably worked in the warehouse for Harris Data Communications for more then twenty years where he was known to take discarded computer parts and create new usable items, such as a portable fan to use at family reunions.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports; in particular Texas A&M. He was most happy when he spent time with family and friends listening to great music. His family and friends will always remember him as someone that could be counted on to help whenever needed. He was always so much fun to be around as he loved to laugh and joke around.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesus and Maria Cruz Espinoza; mother, Catalina Espinoza; brother, Matias Guerrero; and sister, Dolores Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Nina Fay Guerrero; children, Michelle M. Guerrero (Agustin Ybarra) and Jesse L. Guerrero; sister, Margarita Sosa; sister-in-law, Elvira Flores Reynolds; brother-in-law, Jesse Gonzalez along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

A visitation for Jesse will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A prayer service will occur Monday, January 8, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
