

After a protracted battle with cancer, Joan Marilyn Triplett, died on November 4, 2017 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 76. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert G. Triplett, her sister Judith Cole, her children Scott and Lisa Henry, Allison and Stephen Flink, Amber and Rob Triplett, Melissa Triplett, Jarah and Neville Triplett, Lauren and Patrick Triplett and her grandchildren Marc Kaylor, Lauren Henry, Stephanie Kaylor, Spencer Henry, Wil, Calvin, Chelsea, Brice, Ellis, Anais, Avery Triplett and Jack Huebner.
Joan was born in Ellenville, NY on October 13, 1941, to father Maxwell Cooper and mother Blanche Herman Cooper, who predeceased her. She grew up in a loving family with one sister. She graduated Queens, College, NY with a Bachelor’s degree and an elementary teaching certification, she worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Glaxo Smith Klein for more than 30 years. She retired in 2011.
Joan was a driven professional with a love for Tennis, playing Golf and Traveling with her Husband. When diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2016, she remained dedicated in her charitable work with her Church and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months. Joan loved a good sale…Neiman’s and Gucci have been advised, and are bracing for the inevitable impact to their bottom line.
Joan has requested a Mass to be held and Holy Trinity Church. The Service will be November 10, 2017 at 10:00 am. A reception will follow; all are welcome. A graveside service will be held later that afternoon at 2:00 pm at DFW National Cemetery. The family would especially like to thank Jeanie Grant and Liz Bassett for being by her side and visiting as much as they did. The family would also like to thank Carolyn and her team for taking care of Joan 24/7 for the last 5 months. Lastly, many thanks to Dr. Patel and Dr. Lohrey for their outstanding care.
