She was born on October 11, 1945, to parents Joseph and Angela Skoda. Joann was preceded in death by her husband William Manganilla, parents Joseph and Angela Skoda as well as her brother Richard and his wife Helen Skoda. She is survived and loved by her three children Jill Manganilla of Carrollton, Texas, John and wife Megan Manganilla of Prosper, Texas, and Jack Manganilla of Plano Texas, and two treasured grandchildren Ashley and Brody Manganilla of Prosper, Texas.
To know Joann was to know true kindness. Whether through a comforting word, a warm embrace, or her quiet presence during difficult times, she was a source of light and peace. Her strength was not loud or boastful, but steady - the kind that lifted others even when her own burdens were heavy. She was a living reminder that even in struggle, love endures.
Joann now rests in the eternal presence of her Savior, free from pain and embraced by the love she so freely gave to others. Though her absence is deeply felt, her legacy of love and strength will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service to celebrate Joann's life will be held on August 2nd. The service will take place at 11:00 am, at Calvary Hill Cemetery near her childhood home in Dallas, Texas. Her ashes will then be buried atop her husband, William, and near her beloved parents. A short reception will follow. All attendees are welcome.
