

John Chambers, age 93, passed away peacefully in Dallas, TX on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1931, John lived a full, vibrant life marked by adventure and a deep love for his family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thomas and Susan Chambers; his sisters, Louise and Lona Bell; his brothers, Gerald and Gordon; and his grandson, Jonathan Klous. He is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Nancy (Slack) Chambers; his daughter, Paula (Chambers) Martin and husband, Gregg; son Jerry Chambers and wife, Marsha; stepdaughters Lynn Collins and Lou Ellen Hodges.
John’s cherished grandchildren include Michael Chambers; Kari (Klous) Halverson and husband, Tom; David Klous and wife, Ena; Travis Klous; Kevin Klous and wife, Melissa; Jennifer (Chambers) Currin; Caleb Klous; and Jason Chambers. His step-grandchildren include Lisa Beckman and husband, Joel; Jason Hodges and Kimberly Hodges. He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren: Zoey Ruby, Darien Klous, Cheyanne and Hailey Currin, Emma and Laya Klous, Gunnar and Liv Halverson, Madison and Hadley Klous, as well as two step-great-granddaughters, Kayla Beckman, Brendan Oonk and Bodhie Hodges.
John’s family invites all who knew him to join in honoring the man who touched so many lives with his humor, thoughtfulness, and unforgettable stories. We hold on to the hope that you are home with our Heavenly Father. Rest in peace, John—you were loved dearly, and will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
