John Denning, born July 7, 1920 was called home by his Heavenly Father on December 15, 2010. Devoted to his Lord and his family he was preceded in death by Ola, his wife of almost 58 years, in 1998, and is survived by his daughter, Leta Cole; three grandchildren, Lisa Zimmerman and her husband Steve, David Cole and Emily Cole and by three great-grandchildren – Michael, Matthew and Mackenzie Zimmerman. He was a graduate of Texas Christian University and long-time employee of Texas Pacific Railway and later Katy Railroad, retiring in 1981 as Assistant Director of Personnel – Employment and Equal Opportunity. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
