I just found out of John’s passing and it deeply saddens me to loose a good person in this world. Man did he have a good heart. God rest his soul and a late condolences to the family. I had been looking for him and until today that I did a search and came across this sad news.  Rest in peace.

There were many, many times that I would run into him at the courthouse and it always made me happy to see a former  University of Texas law student.  I just today found out about his passing and I am deeply saddened.

John was like a brother to me. I’ve known him since law school over 42 years. Lots of memories and will sure miss him and his engaging character . May he Rest In Peace and his family be comforted by the impact he left on this world! What a blessing to have been part of his life!

On behalf of the Alonzo family we extend our condolences.  John was a friend, a colleague.  As a board member of the Dallas Mexican American Bar Association  we send prayers your way as well.  As a former Texas State Representative, I say the State of Texas has lost a great Texan.  May he rest in peace.

John was the very first Attorney to open his door to me for employment I worked with him  and Ester B.  For years John will be missed and forever will remain in my heart and prayers my condolences to his entire family 🙏

John was a friend of my mother’s he helped her with legal issues and didn’t hesitate to help me when I had legal troubles to sort out after a failed relationship. I still remember him explaining the case to the judge and always advising me to what was best for my son and I. It’s rare for me to meet people who are kind and caring he really left a print in our lives.  RIP John

Dear family, since I received notice of Mr. Martínez’ hospitalization, I have been praying for fast recovery. On the day of his passing , I felt the urgency to pray for his health, but it also came to my mind what The Mesiah Prayed:”Father, if it be Your counsel, remove this cup from Me. Yet not My desire, but let Yours be done. “  As hard as this may sound, let this serve as consolation that God’s will was done. Mr. Martínez was a great father, and he HAS a beautiful soul. May we rejoice knowing we’ll see him again wearing his splendorous white gown and rejoicing in the presence of Our Father. 🤍
