Thank you, Charly, for allowing us to tune into the funeral Mass online. It was beautiful. John was my manager at MedSys, and we worked together again at THMED. He helped me work through my parents’ decline and deaths by sharing his experience with his parents. He was a manager with heart, strength, courage, levity, fun, and leadership. As much as we’ll miss him, I know he’s with his mom and dad now, and with our Savior, Jesus Christ, who prepared a place for him long ago in Our Father’s house. Fist bump for sales, and a hug for life, John. See ya on the other side. 

John was a good friend and caring soul. While we were several years apart at UD, John was an instant friend. When I was graduating college with no prospects of employment, John took me under his wing and became my first boss and mentor. He was always there for you when you needed life advice. 

I met John while I was an undergraduate at the University of Dallas. Our friendship continued through the years, usually running into one another at the UD Rugby Alumni matches. He was always a sweetheart and always made you feel welcomed. My condolences to his family. God bless you Nyhart!

I didn't know John as well as others from UD, but I remember how he would effortlessly bring a smile to my face, even if I hadn't seen him in ages. John Nyhart was funny, unselfish, likable, and such a genuinely good guy.  

John helped make the world a better place, and I think there is no greater compliment to a meaningful life. 

To all of his loved ones, may you find the strength to get through the most difficult hours and days ahead, with the comfort of knowing you will be with him again one day.  





John wrote me a letter from UD when I was in High School (his alma mater) with plans to go there. Later we met at school and played on the rugby team together. I have many fond memories of him bringing smiles to all with his wit and words. It was a pleasure to see him on alumni weekends and, silly as it sounds, just hear his voice. My family is praying for his. God Bless.

My sincere condolences, we lost a kind sole and a great guy.
I just hope God sends down another very funny, great sole, to replace the one we just lost. 
I will truly miss him but I will never forget the times we had at work and traveling and the knowledge he shared with me that I use daily.

I was a friend of John’s father Peter and remember how proud he was of his son John! John reminded me of his Dad with his good sense of humor!  My heart and prayers go out too his family may John

I miss your great stories, jokes and  laughing with  my friend.   I will always cherish our great family vacations with you guys. The world is far more boring now.. God speed my friend.

John was a very considerate longtime member of the UD rugby team who played the same position as I did. He was helpful to a less athletic player like me; I appreciated that. He was also generous to us younger undergraduates who were always broke on team road trips.  

Very saddened to hear of Johns passing. I've know John a long time, as I started out in the recruiting industry back in 1996 working with and learning from John, just a great person all around. He will be missed, his humor, his personality, his drive to be the best at what he did.  Sad to say we lost touch several years back but a friend is a friend forever and I'll always remember John as a great person in my life.  John was certainly a great family man and know how much he loved his wife Charly and his son Henry, a very proud father and husband.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family for comfort and peace.

John worked with me a couple of years back. He was always positive in his disposition and willingness to help others. Clients enjoyed his conversations because he made them feel important. John's sense of humor was a strength of his. He would either crack jokes or make light of a negative situation and left you smiling. 

Since we parted ways, we still text back and forth and I always smiled when chatting with him. John will be missed but his faith was strong so I know we will meet again one day. Peace be with you my friend! 

My heart weeps at the news of the world losing our future time with John.  Although the pain is deep, the great memories are even deeper.  Working with John, known to us for years as simply "JPN",  I'm devastated by the loss, but also so grateful for the time I had to know his kind and loving heart.  No matter how  busy life got, John always had time to share a story about family and friends,  of which he was most proud.  Anyone who called John a friend had a true one no matter the time frame.  My sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Charly and Henry, and family.  I take warmth and pride in knowing I can always remember the smile, the  quips, the edge, and the general presence he brought to anywhere he arrived.  God Bless and keep you John. 

Impossible to believe that John Nyhart is gone from this earth. Incredibly clever and smart, I don’t think I’ve known anyone as funny as he was...my heart breaks for his family, especially  for his son to be deprived of his father - Goodspeed, John!

First time I met John was way back when we were freshmen at UD, & one of the first things he said was “Hi I’m John Nyhart!”.  After I introduced myself he’s like “Yeah I’m from Miami & all my friends look like you!”  Needless to say it was a heck of an intro & even though we were both drunk I’m sure he noticed my jaw hit the floor haha. He said it with such innocent abandon though I was confused, but I realized he didn’t mean anything by it. It was just John being John. He wore his heart on his sleeve and that’s just how he was. He might say something crazy one minute to get under your skin (intentionally or not), & the next he says something else that makes it all right &  better yet you’re bonded with him now.  I played rugby with John and his exploits on the field were just as entertaining. It definitely would’ve been very different without him & his commentary. Not too long ago, we would have spirited discussions on Facebook & after one particularly engaging turn, after he said something dismissive, I told him why the issue was so personal to me and he ended with a “I love you brother” and that was that. My heart still sings when I remember that moment. He was a master Networker and sent me quite a bit of business over the past few years. And just last month we were discussing my insurance health insurance plans and I was considering switching over to his company. I have to admit there’s a pang of regret for not getting back to him sooner to give him my business. I know John has a lot of close friends, & although I wasn’t really one of them, we still had a significant amount of contact; I know that if he affected my life this much, his family & close friends are completely heart-broken. I pray that God shines his strength & grace onto each & everyone of you, especially his wife and child. Let Him renew your spirit with the memories of his love that surely still make your heart sing ❤️.  May John rest in Eternal Peace. 

Unbelievably saddened to hear the news of John's passing.  We had just texted about our kiddos, and how unbelievably proud he was of Henry.  He always brought levity to the room, gave genuine advice and asked how he could help.  Henry and Charly, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.  It was obvious he loved you both so dearly, and he always took time to brag on you Henry.  

I loved working with John as he always made things interesting and humorous.  I could always count on him for anything at anytime... work or personal.   I know he loved Henry and Charly more than anything in this world.   He was an extremely proud Dad and took great care to set a fine example in faith, friendship, and supporting others.    He will be missed and I pray God’s comfort on the family.
