Jonathan Christian Capriotti was taken from us far too soon. Born on April 27, 2005, he is deeply missed by his parents, Chris and Shelley Capriotti, and his brother Vincent, 22, of Dallas,Texas, where Jonathan was raised.
His funeral was attended by close family and friends who gathered to honor his life and memory. Jonathan was an old soul with a deep love for classic bands and vintage movies. He was also endlessly curious, creative, and adventurous. He cherished the outdoors—especially fishing, a passion he enjoyed throughout his life. If he wasn’t hiking or exploring the trails around Dallas, he was often at home working on his latest project. Whether assembling a huge Lego set, or crafting a world in Minecraft, Jonathan was always creating.
He had a special love for animals and a wide range of interests that he pursued with enthusiasm. A natural researcher, he became a quiet expert in many subjects, always eager to learn more and share what he discovered.
Jonathan was a happy kid—his infectious cackle and wide smile lit up every room. He was truly loved by everyone who met him and will be remembered always for the happiness he brought to others.
In addition to his parents and brother, Jonathan is survived by his grandparents, Dominick and Joanne Capriotti of Kingwood, and Todd and Frances Bratton of The Woodlands, along with a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Oak Hill Academy (Oakhillacademy.org/annual-fund-lp.) Please note your donation designation in the “Memo” field.
