Jorge Galaviz Diaz, 66, of Ferris, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, and later made his home in Ferris, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and family.
Jorge was a man of many gifts—musician, welder, machinist, handyman, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. With his skilled hands, he built his family a home from the ground up. Whether fixing what was broken or creating something new, he poured his heart into everything he touched.
He had a deep passion for his work and took great pride in his career with Safran, where his dedication and skills were evident to all who worked alongside him.
His love for music filled many lives with joy. He played guitar, drums, and piano, and his vibrant spirit shone through every note. Jorge also loved traveling across the U.S. and Mexico, camping under the stars, cooking out, and sharing homemade meals. Above all, he cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and the companionship of his beloved dogs.
Jorge was married to his beloved wife, Irma, for 36 years. Together they built a life of love and family that will carry on through generations.
He is survived by Irma; his daughters, Leslie and Alondra; his son, Jorge; and his sons-in-law, Jose and Moses. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren—Joseph, Selenia, Joshua, Josiah, and Jolie.
He will be remembered for his laughter, his generosity, and the countless memories he created with those he loved most. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
