Jose Luis Acosta Ibarra was born in Cumuatillo Michoacan, Mexico on June 6, 1938 to Inez Ibarra and Sabino Acosta. He left us peacefully on November 19, 2025 to join his loving wife Agustina Acosta in heaven. They were married for an extraordinary 62 years. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family.
He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather (Guelo) and husband. He lived a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and a deep commitment to his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and playing loteria with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a sports fanatic that loved watching his favorite teams play, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. His love of sports became one of the many ways he connected with his family. He also loved traveling with his family, creating memories in new places and cherished time spent together.
He dedicated 35 years of service to the Dallas Country Club, where he was respected for his hard work, kindness, and the genuine relationships he built with his colleagues. His commitment to his work reflected his character and strong dedication.
He is survived by his children Rosemary (Martin), Elena (Miguel), Cesar (Cindy) nine grandchildren Martin Jr (Marisa), Adrian (Timea), Olivia, Elizabeth (Brandi), Brianna (Samuel), Danny, Bobby, Raquel, Judy, and six great-grandchildren Austin, Sebastian, Adrian Jr, Alexander, Karson, and Kristopher. He touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His pleasant personality and caring nature will be missed by all his loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Fresenius Kidney Care and Angel Hands Hospice for their compassionate care of our beloved Dad.
His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the examples he set. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and kindness he offered so freely. Thank you Dad for all the beautiful shared memories that we will cherish forever. We love you and miss you dearly. Rest in Peace Dad.
