Joy Yvonne Starr

Joy Starr passed away on Wednesday October 2,2024 at a local hospital.

She was born in Smithfield, Texas on April 9,1930 to James and Suzanne Turner. Joy was a CPA and a Board Certified Genealogist. She was a member of the DAR and the Colonial Dames. She and her husband, Wade, were active members of family genealogy groups including the Gann Family and the Clan McAlister.

Joy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Wade; her father and mother; her sister, Carol Bingham; and her beloved brother, Don Turner.

Survivors include her daughters, Ayn Conner and Dana Bates; grandchildren, Drew Conner, Erin Nelson and her wife Toni, Meghan Walker and her husband Phillip, Taylor Bates, and Nikki Grace and her husband, John; great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Kai Crocker, Austin and Garrett Hill, and Preston Bates; her sister, Edwina Dye; and numerous nieces and nephews.
