Joyce W. Ferguson

She leaves behind, two loving daughters, Kathi (Ferguson) Hope, of Denison; Sheri Ferguson and partner Shellie Boles, of Arlington; one brother, Charles Lee Ramey and wife Millie, of Garland.

Six grandchildren, Angie (Ferguson) Gibson and husband Dennis, of Colorado Springs; Leslie (Ferguson) Regester and husband Matt, of Colorado Springs; Christopher Ferguson and wife Angel, of Royce City; Stephen Hope and wife Nicole, of Southmayd; Dalton Ferguson, of Arlington; and Nicholas Hope, of Denison.

Great grandchildren, Haven Wilson, Johne 'Bubba' Ferguson, Hollie Wilson, James 'Dodger' Ferguson, Trevor Ferguson, Kaylee Hope, Bryson Hope, Brody Hope, Jaxson Hope, Aaliyah Ferguson, and June Hope

Great-great grandchildren, Ayvah & Anthony Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Joseph 'Roy' Ferguson; sons, Donald 'Wayne' Ferguson and Roy Clifton Ferguson; parents, Ernest and Lexia Ramey; in-laws, Lloyd and Gladys Ferguson, as well as many more relatives and friends.

She was born in Celina, TX, to Ernest Jackson Ramey and Lexia Mae (Phipps) Ramey. She grew up in Anna, and later moved to the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, where she graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1953. While there, she played basketball & was a member of the pep squad. She also loved playing softball at church.

She married Roy Ferguson in 1954, and together they had 4 children, Wayne, Roy Clifton, Kathi, and Sheri.

Joyce was known for her creativeness, whether it was knitting, painting, card making, or other crafts, but her true passion was sewing. She sewed for her family, friends & the public. She made clothes, dolls, animals, and other things.

She loved her church, Edgemont Park and her church friends. She had a crazy sense of humor and was a great fan of Aggie and blond jokes!

She had a personality, that seemed to draw people to her and was not a phony! She pretty much spoke her mind. You either loved her, or you didn't! If you didn't, she didn't mind, it was your loss.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., and Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M., all at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
