Juan DeAvila, age 87, passed away on July 3, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 1, 1937 in Malpaso, Zacatecas to Sebastian and Francisca DeAvila. Juan was raised in Malpasa, Zacatecas, Mexico.
He would go on to marry Soledad in 1964 and the couple had five children.
His family and friends will always remember him for his great smile and kind heart.
Juan is survived by his wife, Soledad DeAvila; sons, Martin DeAvila, Juan DeAvila, and Gustavo DeAvila; daughters, Irma DeAvila Infantas and Leticia DeAvila Medrano; and grandchildren, Danny Medrano, Michelle Medrano, Carlos Infantas, Monica Infantas, Paul DeAvila, Katherine DeAvila, and Edward Lee Rodriguez.

A mass service for Juan will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4014 Simpson St, Dallas, TX 75246. A visitation will occur Friday, July 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal will occur Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
