Juanita Torres Gonzales

Juanita Torres Gonzales celebrated her 71st birthday last October. Juanita was born on October 20, 1943 to Enemencia Lara Torres and Selestino D. Torres. In 1964, she married Mario Gonzales, Sr. and together they reared a family of six. Mother earned her GED and continued her studies at Mt. View College. She was a seamstress early in her career at Reynolds-Penland, then found her dream job at CHANEL in 1987, where she perfected her craft and became a tailor. Mother enjoyed music and had a passion for dancing. She, also, enjoyed traveling and occasionally would join her children on their trips. Mother is preceded in death by her husband, Mario Gonzales, Sr.; son, Armando R. Gonzales; grandson, Catharino Gonzales and great-grand-daughter, Isabel Camila Mancha. She is survived by daughters Juanita R. Velasquez, JoAnn Rangel & husband Michael, Minnie Hernandez & husband Benny, Marina Gonzales & husband Ruben Rodriguez and son Mario F. Gonzales & wife Angelina. Mother, also, leaves behind her brother Eulogio Torres & wife Mary. Mother touched the lives of her 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. They will all miss their “Little Grandma”, as will her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mom, we love you always and we miss you beyond words. We will remember you and talk of you so that our children do not forget you. You will forever remain in our hearts.
