Judy Lynn Harting, age 73, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Richardson, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Betty and Kenneth Sparks.
Judy was raised in Lake Highlands, Texas, where she graduated from high school in 1971. She married William (“Bill”) Harting in 1974, and together they built a loving home in Richardson, where they raised their daughter, Amy Lynn, and Bill’s daughter, Sonya Rene. Judy began her career assisting her mother in her CPA practice and went on to work as an independent bookkeeper for more than 35 years.
She enjoyed reading, watching investigative television shows, attending art classes, gardening, and cooking. She especially loved spending time with family and friends, often gathered together over good food, wine, laughter, and conversation—and cherished every moment at her lake property in East Texas.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and her ability to bring people together. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and at ease, and many thought of her as a second mom. She loved to celebrate life’s moments, big and small, and took special joy in decorating for Christmas, filling her home with warmth and cheer.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Harting; her daughter, Amy Anderson and husband Brandon; stepdaughter Sonya Chandler and husband Mike; sister Beth Page and her sons, Tim and Sam Page; half-siblings Kenny Sparks, Gary Sparks, Melissa Everett, and Cheryl Blasingame; step-siblings Ronnie Bray and Kenny Bray; grandchildren Justin, Garrett, Laney, Aaden, and Kason; two great-grandchildren; and many beloved extended family members who will cherish her memory.
