JW Harrison, also known as Grandpa, left us here on earth at the age of 75 on April 5th, 2022, to spend eternity with his beloved wife, Monica. He was born in Terral, Oklahoma on February 15, 1947, to JW Sr. and Mildred Inez Harrison.
In 1966, at the age of 19, he began his career in the military. Throughout the next 46 years, he proudly served our country serving through the Marines, Air Force and National Guard. Upon retiring in 2012, he was ranked as a Master Sergeant. He married the love of his life in 1970 and they made Texas their home where they raised their 3 children.
JW was very fun and outgoing and honestly never met a stranger. After full retirement, he enjoyed time with his family and attending his monthly luncheons with his military friends.
JW is survived by daughter Michelle Hinton with husband David, son Michael Harrison with wife Wendy and youngest son, Matthew Harrison. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Sheyanne Hinton, Ashley, Courtney, and Lacey Harrison, along with his great granddaughter, Cambrie Ann Skinner. In addition to his immediate family, he is also survived by his sister Manya Reid with husband Mel and numerous in laws, nieces, and nephews.
We love you Grandpa and will miss you dearly. Give Omi a hug from us! We are not saying goodbye, but a see ya later!
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.laurellanddallas.com for the Harrison family.
