Karen Louise Kendrick

Karen was born on December 31, 1949 to Sammie and Bob Gorman in Dallas, TX. After Karen graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1968, she went on to become a loving mother. She worked for National Data for 15 years before retiring to care for her mother.

Karen was one the best mothers and grandmothers that anyone could ask for.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. Traveling was a passion of hers as she visited 48 out of the 50 states with her mother being her side. She was an amazing seamstress and spent time making blankets and clothing for her family and friends. She was also an avid reader, a fan of jigsaw puzzles, and playing dominos.

Karen was proceeded in death by her mother and father Sammie and Bob Gorman, and brother Danny Gorman. She is survived by her children James and Vickie Kendrick of Waxahachie, TX, Bob and Mary Kendrick of Whitney, TX. Siblings Bobby and Sandy Gorman of Waxahachie, TX, Sandra Trojacek of Colima, Illinois, and Billy Gorman of Lancaster, TX. Grandchildren Cody Kendrick of Port Arthur, TX and Jaymie Kendrick of San Marcos, TX and many other family and friends.

Services will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Visitation Monday August 26th from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday August 27th at 10am with burial to follow.
