Kae, loving wife, mother and grandmother left this world to be with our Lord after a very short illness. Kae grew up in New York state and moved to Dallas in 1969 to become a flight attendant with Braniff Airways. Flying was never her love but meeting different people from all over the world was. While she was working for Braniff she developed a very deep love for children and adults who were physically and mentally challenged. It wasn’t until many years later that she was able to put that love to work with her “kids” at the Notre Dame School of Dallas where she worked until her death. She was the store manager for Clotheshorse Anonymous where she made many lifelong friends. After she retired she was asked to help with the operations of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store where she found her calling working with the kids from Notre Dame.
Kae was always giving. As a devoted Roman Catholic her day never started or ended without time in prayer. She worked very hard to live in “the Divine Will”. She loved our Lord and looked for ways to serve him at every opportunity. None of this, however, kept her from having a wonderful, crazy sense of humor. Many of our fondest moments involved copious amounts of laughter.
Kae gave to everyone, especially her family. I can’t count the sacrifices she made for our son and now for the grandson we are rearing. She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Wade Stanley, son Alec Stanley, grandson Michael Stanley in addition to her wonderful brother and sister-in-law Robert and Amy Deak of New York City, her mother-in-law, Dee Stanley of Ft. Worth and sister-in-law, Michelle Duke of Arlington.
The Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church. The Mass will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers she would prefer you help meet the needs of her “other family” at the Notre Dame School of Dallas, 2018 Allen Street, Dallas, TX 75204.
