She was born in Detroit, Michigan. An excellent student, she graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Inkster Michigan then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Michigan and later an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents Laverne and Ruth Berberick Holland and her beloved brother Tom.
Kay was passionate about her work at IBM where she had a very successful career for over 25 years in a variety of systems engineering positions. She enjoyed driving her red Chevy Corvette with the T-Tops off and the wind blowing in her hair. Kay will be especially remembered by her friends Tom and Laura Leigh Moore who cared for her in her final 12 years of life
A memorial Mass will be said for her at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas at a later date and she will be interred at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.
