Kathleen H. Smith is meeting face to face with our Lord Jesus Christ and is in the midst of many joyous reunions. She was born on September 19, 1917, in Ennis, Texas. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1934. After graduation, she moved to Mobile, Alabama, where she completed her education at the Mobile Business and Secretarial College. After graduation, she moved to New York City, where she excelled as an Executive Secretary for the next 13 years. She always shared fond memories of those times and days in the “Big Apple.” She moved back to Dallas to marry and start her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Cole Holloway; her mother, Charlie Richardson Betts Du’Bose Holloway; and her husband, Delma Ray Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Bishop and husband, Jimmy Bishop; her son, Delma Ray Smith, Jr.; grandchildren, Stephanie Bishop Graham and husband, Terry Graham, Alanna Bishop, Melanie Jones and husband, Johnny Lawless, and Alan Bishop; and great-grandsons, Jordan Baker, Jett Graham, Jackson Bishop, and Colton Jones. Kathleen made very good use of her time here on Earth by always setting a shining example of how to live your life with joy, integrity and dignity, through showing respect and love to others. She was always the “Go To Person” for everyone when they had a victory or a challenge they wanted to share. You could always depend on her advice and guidance to keep you on the right path. All of her family and friends miss her now, but find great comfort in knowing that she is in Heaven, preparing to see us all when we arrive.
