Kaye Thorogood (Killmar) passed away on July 8, 2013. Kaye was born on January 24, 1941 in Grand Island, NE. Kaye is survived by her three daughters, Diane Thomas (husband Dusty), Susan Mercer (husband Doug), Christine Thorogood; sister Peggy Krebs (husband Fred); five beautiful grandchildren Makayla, Maxwell, Dexter, Hannah, Joshua; nephew Derek Veazey, niece Karen Faulkner, nephew Robert Faulkner (wife Erin); and very special friend, Joe Maxwell.
Kaye is preceded in death by her parents Jim Killmar & Ann Shivers, twin sister Pat Ebbens, and little brother Jimmy.
Affectionately known to her grandchildren as Kuka; Kaye was a very loving and supportive mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Kaye had an inspirational positive attitude toward life; she was a trooper, even against the odds; and gracefully triumphed over many tough scenarios. She was a very special person and everyone that crossed her life path was touched by her warm kindness, bottomless generosity, and her keen sense of humor. Kaye’s personal motto was: “I Hope You Dance”; and she told everyone that this song was to be played at her Memorial; which really says it all. Kaye will be greatly missed by her adoring family and her multitude of wonderful friends and business associates.
