

He attended Helias High School in Jefferson City, graduating in 1968 and joined the US Air Force shortly thereafter. He was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base near Dallas, TX and worked as an airline mechanic. After his time in the Air Force was complete, he decided to settle down there and make Dallas his home. He went on to get his BS degree in Business from the University of Texas in Dallas. He then worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and singing with a couple of local bands. But most of all, he loved to go dancing. He cherished the many dance friends he made over the years with the Neon Cowboy group.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, his parents John and Rita Muessig, his brother Jerry Muessig, his brother in law Girard Karst, and his daughter Amy Muessig. He is survived by his partner Darlene Foote, his daughter Christina (Larry) Montgomery, his daughter Natalie (Austin) Windham, step-children Pam and Brian Crouse, grandchildren Nick and Caitlin Montgomery, Christian Windham, Colton Crouse, and Grace Henry. He is also survived by six brothers: Larry (Nga) Muessig, Dan (Janie) Muessig, Mark (Patsy) Muessig, Matt (Darlene) Muessig, Curt Muessig (Nancy Hauetter), and Dennis (Cindy) Muessig and three sisters: Carolyn Karst, Janice Guthrie (Pat Ryan), and Anita (Mike) Dwyer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City, MO at a date to be determined.
