

Larry was a proud native of Dallas, Texas, where he was raised by his parents, Claude “Cy” Ivan Anderson and Mary Margret Wing Anderson. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory School and Highland Park High School where he was on the state championship football team. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Intrepid from 1958-1962. He loved to tell stories of his many adventures while serving our country. A lifelong resident of North Dallas, Larry made lasting memories with those he held dear, including siblings, cousins, beloved pets, grandchildren and children.
Larry cherished spending time with family, especially while playing card games. His love for the Dallas Cowboys was unwavering and he was an enthusiastic golfer and world traveler. He brought laughter to many with his playful sense of humor and storytelling.
In his professional life, Larry made significant contributions to the field of residential real estate, earning recognition as a top producer with both Fox & Jacobs Homes and Ryland Homes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude "Cy" Ivan Anderson and Mary Margret Wing Anderson, as well as his little sister and best friend, Gail Anderson Owen.
Larry is survived by his family: Chris Anderson (Melanie) of Peoria, AZ; Laura Stevens (Bryan) of Kenmore, WA; and Joel Anderson (Andrea) of Allen, TX. He also leaves behind his brothers, Rick Anderson (Petra) and Mike Anderson, along with his cherished grandchildren, Kayla Anderson of Austin, TX, Bryson and Mathew Stevens of Kenmore, WA and Landon Anderson of Allen, TX, as well as numerous cousins.
On July 19, 2025, a Rosary will be held at 1:30 pm and a Memorial Mass at 2:00 pm at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 1515 N Greenville Ave, Allen, Texas 75002. with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Reception following.
The family sincerely appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers and support from friends and family; it has truly meant the world to all of us. We are comforted that he's finally free to do all the things he loved and has been reunited with those he dearly missed. He is in perfect peace. John 14:2-3
