Larry Arthur Roark passed away on Wednesday April 20th 2016 at the age of 65 at his residence in Sachse, Texas surrounded by his family. He bravely fought cancer for the last 3 years staying active until the very end. Larry was born at home on July 4, 1950 to Arthur and Mary Kinser Roark in Harlan, Ky. Larry is survived by his children Louann Roark Odom and Douglas Roark and three grandchildren Gunner Odom, Max Odom and Hagan Odom as well as his siblings Linda Roark, David Roark, Ricky Roark (deceased) and Eddie Beaver including numerous nieces and nephews. In 1969 Larry Roark actively served in the USMC for 2 years and the reserves for an additional 4 years. He received his honorable discharge from the USMC as a U.S. Marine Corporal in 1975. He will be missed and cherished always! Services will be at Grove Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park located at 3920 Samuell Blvd. Dallas, TX 75228 on Friday April 29th at 11:00am.
