

A visitation hour for Laura will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Laura C. Sanchez was born on April 2, 1935 on the island of Guam in the town of Yona. She live there with her 20 other siblings until she married Dan M. Sanchez. His job took them all over the US and to Okinawa Japan, until they settled in Duncanville Texas in 1971.
They had five sons, which allowed her to be a stay at home mom. She loved her family and raising and caring for them was her priority. She also helped raise a few of her grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, where she cooked for everyone. She was known best for her homemade eggrolls and her famous chocolate chip cookies. Her favorite, hobby and pastime was bingo. She loved and spoiled some of the staff, as if they were her own family.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Magdalena Cruz, all of her siblings, and her oldest son, George Sanchez. She is survived by her children, Tom (Marie), Joe (Donna), Larry (Carol) and Danny (Nina). She is survived by her 9 grandchildren and her 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Laura will be remembered for her kind, generous and loving nature, and will be greatly missed by all who loved her
