Lenora McNiel, age 72, passed away at her home, July 29, after a long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years Michael F McNiel. The loving “Sister” of Raymond Stone, Laverne Ross and Marthel Summers, who also precede her in death. Lenora was born in Dallas to parents Carroll and Nora Stone. After graduating high school from Adamson High in Oak Cliff, she began a long and treasured career with EB Mott Co. She is survived by her children, son Mark McNiel and his wife Lisa, Michelle McNiel and Marty McNiel all of Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Dewey of Garland, Sherrill Stone of Dallas and Oscar Stone of Nebraska. Born of a large family she will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews alike. Funeral services will be held August 2, 11:00 am at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas. Nephews Clay Garrett, David Stone, Keith Stone, David McNiel, John McNiel Jr., as well as Mike Talkington, will preside as pallbearers.
