

Leonard Blumberg was born on March 6, 1926 in New York City, New York to Helen and Samuel Blumberg. He proudly served in WW II in the Army Air Corps. After leaving the service, he began a career as a wholesale representative for ladies sportswear. His engaging personality, sales ability and product knowledge produced a dedicated list of clients. In the 1950’s, he moved to Texas and traveled the Southwest until he retired.
He married the love of his life, Donna, in 1968 and the love affair continued for 46 years. They traveled extensively on vacations and for over 20 years, showed their champion Boxers throughout the U.S. Jake, his beloved rescued greyhound, was a constant companion in recent years.
Lennie loved life, especially his family, his dogs, sports, poker and his country. Those who knew and loved him will never forget him. They will all have memories of his “Lennie Stories”.
He is survived by his wife Donna , son Mark Blumberg, two grandsons, Billy Rosen and Brandon Blumberg; great granddaughter Mia Blumberg ; sister in law Helen Blumberg; beloved nephew Gary Blumberg and wife Bonnie; Niece Joan Wolochin and husband Ed; daughter of his heart, Dana Eschenbaum and husband Allen; nephews Mark and Michael Rosen and other nieces , nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be at 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX. Burial will be on Tuesday, December 2, at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Glendale, New York. Online condolences may be made at www.Sparkman-Hillcrest.com.
