Linda Gayle Watson Mottwiler

Linda was born in San Antonio, TX on October 13, 1951 to William Calvin Watson Jr. and Bonnie Joyce Watson (Nee Rose). Linda was married to Ronald Lee Mottwiler on May 10, 2002; they came together in 2001 and would have celebrated their 24th anniversary this year.

Linda enjoyed dancing, Hallmark movies, music, and reading. She loved the musical “Singing in the Rain” and her absolute favorite holiday was Christmas. Linda was schooled in ballet, tap, and jazz and had the privilege of performing at the HemisFair Arena in San Antonio, TX. She worked as a leasing agent for many years helping people find comfortable homes. She was actively involved in MSIA (Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness) as a minister for many years as well. Linda was deeply spiritual and greatly enjoyed caring for and helping others.

Linda is preceded in death by her adopted son Carlos Blanco, Jr.; father William Calvin Watson Jr.; mother Bonnie Joyce Watson (Nee Rose); sister Nancy Jeanne Denley; and brother William Stephen Watson, Sr.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Ronald Lee Mottwiler; step-daughter Kirsten Pena and husband Chas and step-grandson Hayden Lee Loftis; step-daughter Megan Rumfield and husband Bryan and step-granddaughter Averie; step-daughter Melanie Autry and husband Brady and step-grandchildren Bennett and Janie; adopted granddaughter Bella Blanco; sister Deborah Anne Krueger; and brother James Michael Watson; and her beloved pet poodle, Lilee, as well as many other family members and friends.

Services will be held at Grove Hill on January 20, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1 pm and the funeral service will be held at 2 pm. A catered reception will be provided from 3 to 5 pm.

Linda’s family would like to thank all of the wonderful people that have loved and supported her during her life and hope that her memory is honored by being kind and helping others in need.
