A 1968 graduate of Bryan Adams HS, Luke enlisted in the USMC and served in Viet Nam. After leaving the military he married Rebecca Wilkerson. They had two sons. They later divorced and remarried. Rebecca preceded him in death long after the death of their son Joseph Luke. Also preceding him were his parents, Sam and Doris Scoma. He is survived by his son, Paul Anthony (Krystal) and their son Levi Scoma of Oakwood, TX; sisters, Sammy Scoma of Denver, CO., and Patricia Copeland (Roger) of Dallas. Luke was a longtime employee of Ben E. Keith, delivering Budweiser here in Dallas. He also drove long haul for Hills Bros Trucking. His declining health prevented him from enjoying his hobbies of fishing, rose gardening, and pigeon racing. He loved Doberman’s and grieved after his Bella crossed the rainbow bridge. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Rd., Dallas, TX 75228. In lieu of flowers, say a prayer for Luke or go by the Dallas VA and give a donation to the popcorn vendor. He loved that popcorn!
