

He was born in Pickton, TX on Feb. 14, 1923 to Nora Ross and Jesse Grady Mullins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his only brother Jesse Mullins and his wife Madeline Goolsby Mullins.
Mack Sr received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1944 from ETSU in Commerce, TX. Later he pursued advanced degrees at UT Austin, University of Wisconsin Madison and Baylor University. In 1950, he became the Principal of Wortham Elementary School and there he met & married Madeline Goolsby who had a 4-yr old daughter, Linda. In 1955, Mack Jr was born. In 1959, he became Principal of Bowie Elementary School in Corsicana. Then in 1962 he became Assistant Superintendent for CISD. He became Director of Title III ESEA at the Texas Education Agency in 1966, and moved to Waco in 1967 to become Executive Director of Region 12 Education Service Center. He retired in 1983 to pursue his life-long interest in history and genealogy. In 2001, Mack & Madeline moved to Presbyterian Village North in Dallas to be closer to their children.
He is survived by his son Mack Jr, daughter Linda, niece Marilyn Mullins Bettes and sister-in-law Ethel Goolsby, along with a large loving family of nieces and nephews.
