Mack A. Pace, Jr. 93, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2011. Born September 19, 1917, Mack was the eldest son of the late Mack A. Pace, Sr. and Mintie Mae Guice of Saluda N.C. A 1938 graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., Mack served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and later worked 25 years with Borden Foods Company. A member of First Baptist Church in Saluda, N.C. Mack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances M. Pace; daughter, Carolyn Beadling and husband, Peter J. Beadling; grandchildren, Ashley Beadling, John Beadling, all of Dallas; and niece, Kay Richardson of Clinton, N.C. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011at Sparkman-Hillcrest. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel. Private Graveside Service with Military Honors will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
