She was born to the parentage of Arelene and Willie Lee on July 30, 1936 in Dekalb, Texas then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1979 and attended Prairie View for 2 years.
Mae accepted the Lord as her personal savior and remain a devoted and faithful member of Rose of Sharon church where she served as an usher for many years. Alone with being a faithful servant to her church Mae also was a proud Eastern Star Scottish Rite member for several years.
Because of her genuine love for children she adopted her sister children after the passing of their mother. In Mae’s spare time she loved reading books and gardening.
Mae was preceded and death by her parents but leaves to cherish her precious memories children; Kimberly Calhoun, Beverly S. Lee, Andrew L. Lee, Cheryl Walker and David Marrow sisters; Joyce M. Snoddy, Connie M. Lee, Gloria Helen Caruthers, Fannie Norene Stinson, Della M. Cannon and Fannie M. Lee a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
