He was born on December 21, 1939 in Dallas to Benito and Elisa Ventura. Manuel was a great man and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carmen Ventura; sisters, Mary Helen Juarez and Lupe Escamilla; brothers in law, Richard Sotero and Raymond Fraga.
Manuel is survived by his daughter, Mary Alice Castillo and Paul Leija; sons, Richard Ventura and Robert Ventura; brothers, Daniel (Sara) Ventura, Paul Ventura and Tomas (Darlene) Ventura; sisters, Ramona Sotero, Jessie (Edward) Carrasco, Margaret Fraga and Vera Ventura; grandchildren, Mary Alice Castillo and Abel Delgado, Cord and Rocio Castillo, Ashley Ventura and Robert Ventura Jr.; three great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will accept family and friends for a Visitation on Tuesday January 30, 2024 from 4 – 8 pm. A Rosary will be prayed in his honor at 6:30 pm on the same day. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at 2 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home in the North Mausoleum Chapel. Interment to immediately follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
