Marcelyn M. Caver passed away July 19th at home. Born on Dec. 15, 1926 to J. C. and Kathryn McMurrin in Walnut, Iowa, she was the middle of their three daughters. She graduated from Highland Park H.S. and SMU, marrying Joseph S Caver, Sr. a few years later. She devoted her life to the unconditional loving support of him during their 33-year marriage, and to their children Kathy, John, Ann and Joseph Caver. Following Joe's passing, she dedicated the rest of her life to volunteering for the Emeritus group at Richland College. Marcelyn is survived by her sister, Dorothy Jean Carow, and her children Kathy, John and Joseph Caver. She is preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Kathyrn Joiner, her daughter, Ann Caver and her beloved dog, Bambi. Services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Friday, July 29th at 2PM. Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to the Alzheimer’s Organization or the SPCA.
