Longtime Dallas resident Margaret Ann “Maggie” Chaplin passed away Monday, December 14, 2009. Maggie was born April 7, 1916 to Dr. Raymond W. & Mary Riley Mullen in Florence, South Dakota. She married her high school sweetheart, Caryl F. Chaplin, Jr. on Valentine’s Day 1940 in Los Angeles, CA. Maggie and Chappie relocated to Texas in 1954 with Transport Insurance Company where they became longtime parishioners at St. Monica Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by both parents; husband, Caryl F.”Chappie” Chaplin, Jr.; sister, Mary Weber and brother, Richard Mullen. She is survived by sons, Caryl F.”Richard” Chaplin, III and wife Yvonne of Frisco, TX and Timothy Chaplin of Lamesa, TX; grandchildren, Timothy Chaplin & wife Kelley of Dallas, Tamara Bogacz & husband Jeff of Plano, TX, Carrie Guerrero & husband Sean and David Chaplin both of Midland, TX. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren and brother, John Mullen & wife Jeanette of Minneapolis, MN. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening December 17, 2009 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, December 18, 2009 in the North Mausoleum Chapel at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
