Maria Alicia Marquez Caltzonzin

Maria Alicia Marquez Caltzonzin 47, passed away January 19, 2014 in Dallas, TX. Alicia was born on August 7, 1966 in Dallas, TX to Feliciano Pereda Marquez and Juana Ramos Marquez. A published author of poems, Alicia was never without her makeup and a headband to match her outfit of the day. A former day care worker, Alicia enjoyed history and watching her favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers play ball. She was an avid singer, always singing along to her favorite music, but Alicia’s greatest love was her family, especially her daughter, Ally. A loving mother, sister, niece, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, Alicia and her beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alicia was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mercedes Marquez Roman. She is survived by her daughter, Ally Elizabeth Caltzonzin; her siblings and their spouses, Rafael Marquez (Marta), Maria Del Rosario Graily (Barham), Maria Elena Marquez-Negrete (Roberto), Maria Jesusa Aldana (Demetrio), Maria Juana Soto (Rito) and Maria Theresa Marquez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to her loving niece, April Roman and nephew, Richard Negrete, for their generosity and to her neighbor, Deloris Curtis for her love and support.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Calvary Hill Mausoleum North Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at Calvary Hill North Chapel. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
