Maria Guadalupe Berumen, age 99, passed away on August 21, 2024 in Irving, Texas. She was born on December 12, 1924 in Encarnacion Diaz, Mexico to Pascual Reyes and Gregoria Ornelas. Maria was raised in Mexico.
She married Jose Angel Berumen in 1942 and the couple had 12 children. She was a devoted housewife.
In her spare time, Maria enjoyed cooking, sewing, tejiendo/knitting, traveling, babysitting more than 100 grandchildren and loved being with family.
She had 12 children, 45 grandkids, 83 great grandkids, 29 great great grandkids, 4 daughter in laws and 1 son in law.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mom, grandma and great grandma. They will especially miss her delicious home cooked meals and flour tortillas.
She is preceded in death by; husband, Jose Angel Berumen; father, Pascual Reyes; mother, Gregoria Ornelas; daughters, Maria Otilia, San Juana and Lupita; son in law, George; and daughter in laws, Eva and Lilia.
