Maria Herrera Chavez

Maria H. Chávez, hija de Josefina Herrera Alarcón y Ambrosio Herrera Rodriguez, nació el 31 de diciembre de 1936 y falleció el 7 de junio de 2026, a los 89 años.

Nuestra amada madre, María Chávez Herrera, fue la orgullosa matriarca de 4 hijos y 4 hijas. Ahora descansa en paz al lado de su amado esposo, nuestro padre, y de su hijo menor, Enrique, quienes la han recibido con los brazos abiertos.

Mamá fue una esposa devota y una madre tan amorosa como cualquiera pudiera desear. Junto con nuestro padre, nos inculcó una fuerte ética de trabajo, asumiendo la difícil tarea de criar a 8 hijos mientras mantenían un hogar sano, amoroso y sostenible para nuestra familia.

Le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Margarita Velardo, Héctor Chávez, María De Jesús Ortiz, Humberto Chávez, Emma Pulido, Rafael Chávez y María Guadalupe Chávez. También le sobreviven sus queridas hermanas, Romelia Herrera Alarcón, Guadalupe Herrera Ramírez y Socorro Herrera Ramírez.

Su hermoso legado sigue creciendo a través de sus 18 nietos, 33 bisnietos y 2 tataranietos, así como de múltiples sobrinas y sobrinos por parte de ambas familias.

Aunque la extrañaremos profundamente, nos consuela saber que finalmente está en paz.

La velación se llevará a cabo en Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220, el 14 de junio de 2026, de 11:00 am a 3:00 pm, con el Santo Rosario rezado a la 1:00 pm.

La Misa Exequial será celebrada en la Capilla Norte (dentro del mausoleo), 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220, el 15 de junio de 2026 a las 9:00 am, con el sepelio en el Mausoleo Principal a las 10:00 am.

Maria H. Chavez, daughter of Josefina Herrera Alarcón and Ambrosio Herrera Rodriguez, was born on December 31, 1936, and passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 89.

Our beloved mother, Maria Chavez Herrera, was the proud matriarch of 4 boys and 4 girls. She now rests peacefully alongside her beloved husband, our father, and their youngest son, Enrique, who have embraced her with open arms.

Mom was a devoted wife and as loving a mother as anyone could ever ask for. Together with our father, she instilled a strong work ethic, undertaking the challenging task of raising 8 children while maintaining a healthy, loving, and sustainable home for our family.

She is survived by her loving children: Margarita Velardo, Hector Chavez, Maria De Jesus Ortiz, Humberto Chavez, Emma Pulido, Rafael Chavez, and Maria Guadalupe Chavez. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Romelia Herrera Alarcon, Guadalupe Herrera Ramirez, and Socorro Herrera Ramirez.

Her beautiful legacy continues to grow through her 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as multiple nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

While we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace.

The visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220, on June 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary recited at 1:00 pm.

The funeral mass will be celebrated in the North Chapel (inside the mausoleum), 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220, on June 15, 2026, at 9:00 am, with the entombment in the same mausoleum at 10:00 am.
