Remembering you today sweet Terrie. I miss you. ♡

Terrie and I shared many wonderful times together but none was as special as our holiday all-day togetherness making tamales. We would begin about 6:30 in the morning and work all day, usually ending up with about 30 dozen tamales-15 dozen for me and 15 for her. My tamales did not look as neat as hers--the gringo did not have the proficiency but the tamales tasted just as delicious! It was a day of working with a dear friend, sharing precious moments! How I miss my friend!

Know you’re in my thoughts and prayers. Terrie was a good friend always ready to help. She’ll be missed.

To my Aunt and God mother Terry,
You will always have a special place in my heart!! Thank you for being a fun aunt when I saw you. Roxy and I will always remember the time you were taking us to middle school and you were in a hurry and drove off with the peanut butter jar and top of your car. I just remember seeing the peanut butter drip down the window. My sincere condolences to Belinda and Casey and their families.

My condolences to my cousins Belinda and Casey and all of the family. Terry was an amazing person and will be truly missed.  I remember that she would take my sister Becky and me to school when we lived on the same street. I'll never forget that one morning she was in a hurry and forgot that she left a jar of peanut butter on top of her car.  I remember seeing the jar fall off the car as we drove down the street. It was such a funny memory. She was a wonderful aunt and I will never forget her. My mom (Janet) sends her condolences to the family as well.

Getting to know Terrie was a true gift in my life. Working alongside her as a mentor teacher in Ysleta ISD was not just an incredible experience; it was a journey of growth and inspiration. Her brilliance radiated in everything she did, and I deeply appreciated all the wisdom she shared with me. Some of my sweetest memories are from the times we gathered at her home to make tamales during the holiday season. Those moments were filled with such joy and warmth, creating a sense of community and belonging. Terrie will forever hold a cherished place in my heart, and I am truly grateful for the beautiful memories we created together.

Teri was such a bright light in so many ways. Her vibrant smile and wardrobe always made me smile. May she rest in peace and may we all remember this marvelous person with fondness.

Terrie was my friend for over 30 years. We taught together at Bel Air. She was a brilliant math teacher and all her students loved her. We would meet with some of our students after school and go bowling. She loved to entertain and decorate and opened her home to many gatherings.After retirement We spent many days together at lunches, concerts, movies, gardens. We laughed and we cried together. I will miss you dearly my friend. Be at peace and at rest my friend.

Knowing Terrie was definitely a blessing from God! It was such a joy to work alongside her as a Math Mentor. I have so many wonderful memories of our time together. She was a brilliant woman in so many ways. She had a way of lighting up a room with her smile and we shared so much laughter. Her intellect was amazing! She was so creative, and we worked on some fun sewing projects together. 

She opened her heart and her home to so many of us, especially for our annual mentor tamaladas! For some reason, I always ended up cutting the cheese. Those times together are unforgettable. Her presence in my life during my pregnancy and the birth of my daughter Aysia was an amazing blessing. I will always treasure those memories. She will always hold a special place in my heart! May she rest in eternal peace and may perpetual light shine upon her. Heaven is a brighter place with her in it!

Dear Belinda and Casey,
We grieve with you in these days of sorrow. You knew the deepest love of a mother as she loved you both ever so much. How proud she was of both of you and your accomplishments. In our last conversation, she talked of you, Belinda, and your role at the airlines and how she loved being close enough to visit you. She talked about going on vacation with you, Belinda. Casey, she shared her trip out to CA and being in your lovely home. She shared how you had set up an outdoor theater to watch movies, etc.

Our time together as fifth grade teachers  bonded us together! We had such fun planning activities, team teaching and just being together. During several Christmas breaks, we met at 6:00 AM and began making tamales and about 6:00 PM, we would divide the tamales. Yours, Terri, were perfectly folded, mine not so nicely, but the tamales were delicious, no matter how they looked! We did not have to have a project to enjoy the time together-the fact we were together was enough.

This is written with a heavy heart. I was lucky enough to be a math student of Mrs. Giron.  Her love for math was instilled in all of her students because she loved it so much!  I remember her telling me that I didn’t know how to do it “yet”. This is a phrase I still carry and pass on to my students today.  I was also lucky enough to share a wonderful friendship with her daughter, Belinda. I send my deepest condolences to her and the entire family. May your mother’s memory be a blessing as she was to so many throughout her lifetime.

How much fun we had working on our Masters at Sul Ross! Driving down there, fighting over beds, some studying. You were always so much fun. We laughed and laughed together. You have been missed here in El Paso. May memories of fun times comfort your family and give them peace.

Terrie, my friend how you always made us laugh and made our days lighter with your laughter and your jokes. There wasn’t a day that would go by when something exciting or an unexpected experience would happen to you that would make us laugh. Those were the good all days, when we would spent making tamales at your house and have the conversations of our experiences as Mentors. 
Thank you for being you and being my friend. I truly miss you but now you are resting and at home with the Lord. God bless you and until we see each other again 🥰
