Maria T. Saldivar, 99, passed away June 17, 2010 at her home in Dallas. Born in Austin, Texas to Georgia Ann Marks and Joe B. Rios, she is dearly beloved and will be much missed by her large, loving family. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Julian T. Saldivar and her son, Julian “Ted” Saldivar, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Dolores Brown and husband, Karl; grandsons, Ted and wife, Dee, Karl and wife, Susan, Charles and wife, Sherry, and Christopher and wife, Julie; granddaughters, Karen and husband, Frank, and Cindy, who daily gave Maria constant loving care, and husband, Phillip; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff of VITAS hospice who showed such compassion and care to Maria and her family in her final days. Visitation will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Sunday June 20th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with the Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday June 21, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Highway Chapel of Sparkman Hillcrest.
