Marilyn “Winky” Steele Waugh, born June 27, 1931 in Williamantic, CN passed away September 15, 2015 in Dallas, TX at Presbyterian Village North. She studied with Ansel Adams and Imogene Cunningham and was a freelance portrait and wedding photographer for many years. A book of her works on stained glass windows is included in the Library of Congress.
Winky was a long time member and Deacon at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. She was loved by everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Harry Waugh.
Survivors include her three children and their spouses Cindy and Shannon Day of Fort Worth, Ginny Moore of Dallas, and Jim and Lindy Waugh of Phoenix, AZ. Six grandchildren - Leigh-Allie, Toni, Emily, Caroline, James, and Joe, her sister Margaret Smith and nephews Lloyd, Eric, and Steve Smith.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Memorial Services following at 2:00 PM at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 3821 University Dr., Dallas, TX. 75225.
