

Born in Blooming Grove, Texas on June 11, 1926 to Curtis Henry Cumpston and Eloise Cumpston. Moved to Dallas at age 6. Marinell graduated from Garland High School in 1943 and lived in the White Rock Lake area all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Curtis Ralph Cumpston and Thurman Michael Cumpston; nephews, Lee Michael Cumpston; former husband, Lee Price and longtime friend, Larry Browder. She worked for Neiman Marcus under the direction of Carrie Neiman and Herbert Marcus, then later Stanley Marcus. She was a property manager for Sam Lett, Jr. and worked for the Salesmanship Club on the Byron Nelson Golf Classic. She loved her family and many long-time friends. She enjoyed hosting the big holiday dinners and birthday parties. She traveled to Europe each year and spent summer months fishing in Alaska. Marinell felt blessed to have Sydney K. Farrier in her life as she managed her medical and legal needs. Family and friends are deeply appreciative of her loving caregivers, Henrietta Smith, Patricia Stokes, Dorothy Hannah and earlier, Wendy Holsapple. She is survived by nieces, Marcia Bartlett and husband, David of Pilot Point, Leah Brown and husband, Kenneth of Anna, Iris Hale and husband, Wendell of Frisco, Heather Vega and husband, Victor of Seagoville, Ashley Humble and husband, Beau of Athens, Texas. She is also survived by her nephew Monroe Inge and wife, Millie of Winnsboro; sister-in-law, Nancy Reagan of Pilot Point and Margaret Cumpston of Seagoville, plus many great and great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Dallas Arboretum or the charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 2pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home with visitation starting at 1pm, interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
