“Sharp” Bell, Sr. and Lounette Portley-Bell. Her childhood was filled with love and hope for a
bright future. She attended C. B. Dansby High School in Kilgore, Texas. At an early age she was
christened and became a member of Lawrence and Marder Church.
Martha was a loyal employee and retired from the Internal Revenue Service to live life to the
Fullest and practice being the best of all things. A dedicated “Mimi”, Wife and Mother she poured into her family. Despite her health concerns, this diva lived her life to the fullest – adding joy to others,traveling, cruising, shopping, and extended her love by cherishing her family, friends and grandchildren.
Martha met Ronnie G. Smith, P. E. (deceased), the love of her life in Dallas, whom she united in
holy matrimony for over 30 years until he was suddenly called home.
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, our beloved Martha Bell-Smith entered eternal rest in the evening at
home in Lewisville, Texas. She will be missed but never forgotten. We thank God for her almost seventy (70) years on earth,and we look forward to joining her in eternity.
