Mary Barber

Mary was born in Corsicana, Texas on July 10th, 1937 to Bruce and Oleta Jeffers. At an early age the family moved to Dallas where she graduated from Highland Park High School. She later attended SMU and North Texas State University. In the late 1950’s she married Bob Campbell and had two sons Bruce and Mike. In the mid 1970’s she married Bill Barber and they were married for 42 years until his death in 2015. Later in life she met and married Jimmy Pat Martin. The were married a short time until Pat’s passing in 2020.

Mary’s working career was mostly in Banking where she worked at Preston State Bank in Dallas and later at Compass Bank in the lake Highlands area. Mary was also a longtime member of Lake Pointe Church White Rock Campus where she loved her church friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Oleta Jeffers, husband Bill Barber, husband Pat Martin and her son Bruce Campbell.

Mary is survived by her son Mike Campbell, sisters Vivian Black, Linda Reed and husband Ron and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Grove Hill date TBD. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Mildred, Texas near Corsicana. Graveside services will be officiated by Larry Negron.

Mary’s son Mike would like to thank the helpers she had over the past year: Beatrice, LaQuanza, Michelle and especially CT who was not only a helper but a friend to Mary.
